Construction of University housing project in Belgrade starts in September 2006, new apartment complex to be finished in May 2009

- The construction of the University housing project in Novi Beograd will start in September. The complex will be home to the athletes - participants in the “University Games 2009”, after which the apartments will be put up for sale - the manager of the company “Block 67 Associates”, Vuk Mrvić, stated.

He said that the value of the project was estimated to more than 200m EUR and that the total surface area of the University housing project, in Novi Beograd’s Block 67, would amount to about 200,000 square meters. About 2,100 apartments will be built on that area for the lodging of 4,200 athletes-participants in the “University Games” in Belgrade.

Mrvić explains that, after that big sports manifestation ends, the apartments will be offered for sale, which means that all interested citizens will be free to buy them. According to the words of the manager of "Delta investment" Dejan Racić, the plan is that the University housing project be completed and handed over to the University COmmittee for use in May 2009.

Company "Blok 67 Associates", which is owned by Austrian company "CEE investment" and company "Delta M", will finance the construction of that complex from its own budget. Austrian company will invest 75% of the means, whereas "Delta M" will set aside 25%, while the guarantee for the construction of the University housing project has been provided by Hypo-Alpe-Adria bank.
