Real GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 2.2%

The real growth of the gross domestic product in the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year, was 2.2%, the Republic Statistical Office announced.

The seasonally adjusted data series shows a growth of gross domestic product in Q4 2025 of 1% compared to the previous quarter.

The real growth of gross domestic product in 2025, obtained on the basis of quarterly calculations, was 2% compared to the previous year. The annual growth rate of the gross domestic product, as a result of the annual calculation, will be published on October 1, 2026 in the announcement Gross domestic product, 2025.

Observed by activities, in Q4 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year, the most significant real growth of gross added value was recorded in the construction sector, 10.6%. A real decrease in gross added value was recorded in the industry and water supply and waste water management sector, 3.4% and in the agriculture, forestry and fishing sector, 0.3%.

Observed by aggregates of the use of gross domestic product, in Q4 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year, real growth was recorded in all aggregates: expenditures for final consumption of households, 3.7%, expenditures for final consumption of non-profit institutions that provide services to households (NPID), 4.5%, expenditures for final consumption of the state, 4.2%, gross investments in fixed assets, 8.9%, export of goods and services, 5.3% and import of goods and services, 7.6%.
