Half a Century of Engineering Excellence: From Ahrensburg to Belgrade
ESYLUX`s history began in 1968 in Ahrensburg, near Hamburg, where the company`s headquarters, research and development center, and European logistics center are still located today.

Entering the Balkan market eight years ago was a logical step for the company as the part of its global strategy. Today, ESYLUX successfully collaborates with wholesalers, installers, and planners in Serbia and neighboring countries, offering solutions that help reduce building operating costs and minimize CO₂ emissions.
Global Experience and Regional Specifics
ESYLUX products are in demand worldwide — from Europe to Asia and Oceania — but the company places special emphasis on the commercial segment: offices, educational institutions, and medical facilities. It is there that building automation technologies deliver maximum impact.

In the Balkans, this experience is adapted to local needs. Over eight years, the region has become a vital part of ESYLUX`s strategy, demonstrating consistent demand for high-quality German engineering. The company values the loyalty of its local partners and is prepared to
offer them even more advantageous collaboration terms.
Network Expansion: A New Chapter in Cooperation
2026 marks a significant step in the development of global distribution for ESYLUX. As announced in December 2025, the company has become a preferred supplier for the international IMELCO group, which unites electrical wholesalers in 25 countries across Europe, North America, and Oceania.
For the Balkan market, this signals even deeper integration into European logistics and service chains. This new status will enable local ESYLUX partners to receive products even faster and benefit from enhanced support tools — from convenient parametrization via the ESY-App to access to up-to-date product data in the ETIM standard.

"We see IMELCO as a strong network of independent wholesalers who understand the importance of partnership and local customer proximity," noted Mareks Peters, Chairman of the Board and CEO of ESYLUX. " By combining our strengths, we can offer installers and planners worldwide solutions that help save energy while remaining easy to install and configure."
Focus on Sustainability and Simplicity
A key advantage of ESYLUX, which the company intends to actively develop in Serbia, is the ease of installation and commissioning. Innovative sensors and controllers allow for quick setup of complex lighting control scenarios without the need for in-depth programming. This is critical for market growth — the simpler the technology, the faster it is adopted in real-world projects.
Furthermore, ESYLUX adheres to strict sustainability standards. Its production-related environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001, and the company is regularly assessed by the independent agency EcoVadis. For Serbian businesses, increasingly focused on the "green" agenda and energy efficiency, partnering with such a vendor becomes a competitive advantage.
Meeting at Light+Building 2026: A Glimpse into the Future
The highlight of business activity in 2026 will be ESYLUX`s participation in Light+Building in Frankfurt am Main — the world`s leading trade fair for lighting and building automation. The event will take place from March 8 to 13, 2026, and ESYLUX traditionally prepares something special for its visitors.

The company`s booth will showcase the latest developments in intelligent lighting control, including further advancements in SymbiLogic technology and solutions for Human Centric Lighting. This is a unique opportunity for Serbian and Balkan partners — architects,
planners, and installers — to personally explore the products, discuss projects with engineers, and be the first to learn about global trends in building automation.
"Over eight years of working in Serbia, we have progressed from getting to know the market to fully understanding local needs. Now we are ready for the next step — expanding our pool of partners and implementing major projects that will set the standards for comfort and energy efficiency in the Balkans," commented the company`s regional representative office.
We invite all industry professionals to visit the ESYLUX booth at the Light+Building 2026 trade fair (Hall 11.1, stand C89) to see the future of building automation for themselves.
