A new supercomputer from Paris will soon arrive in Serbia, which will open up space for accelerated development of the Serbian language model (LLM). This is confirmation of the continuation of strong cooperation with France in the field of digitalization and new technologies, and the arrival of one of the most powerful supercomputers on the European continent will enable our AI sovereignty, said Marko Cadez, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), from Paris.

– Our goal is not to use artificial intelligence only through chatbots, but primarily for the modernization of state administration and digitalization of the economy, so that its advantages become part of the everyday lives of citizens and the business community – said the President of the CCIS during a working visit to France where he spoke with the management of the company Eviden, or Bull, which is responsible for delivering the supercomputer.

The CCIS delegation also held meetings with other partners in order in Paris to implement the Serbian language model project as soon as possible and enable the state and companies to properly utilize the advantages of artificial intelligence.

Cadez emphasizes that today only a small number of European countries have the infrastructure that enables the development of their own large-scale language models and sovereign AI solutions.

– The cooperation between Serbia and France has enabled us to be among those countries – Cadez emphasized, the CCIS announced.

With the implementation of this project, Serbia will receive a powerful tool for improving the efficiency of state administration, developing innovative services for citizens and the economy, as well as strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies on the European and global markets, the statement says.

The President of the CCIS reminds of the many years of cooperation between Serbia and France in the field of digital transformation.

– It was through this cooperation that the first supercomputer arrived in Serbia in 2021, which at the time was the second in Europe optimized for artificial intelligence. Today, with a new generation of supercomputers equipped with the latest chips, Serbia is further strengthening its technological infrastructure – assessed Cadez.
