Reconstruction of Palic's Big Park kicks off

The second phase of reconstruction of Palic's Big Park has started, and the plan is to pave Aleja Uzdaha (Alley of Sighs), the area in front of the Summer Stage, part of the trail between Velika Terasa (Big Balcony) and a parking lot near Mala Gostiona (Small Tavern) and a leg in front of Zenski Strand (Women's Strand) and to equip them with park furniture.

Aside from the work on Big Park, the reconstruction will also include the public lighting system in Big Park and streets Jozefa Hegedisa and Krfska.

The period set for the completion of all works is 60 calendar days, the contractor is Javorik, and the value of works is RSD 35 million.

The Government of Serbia declared Palic and Stara Planina mountain as the most promising tourist destinations in Serbia in 2007.

Over the last three years, EUR 7 million have been invested in various projects at Palic, bu the Master Plan envisages over EUR 100 million worth of investments aimed at turning Palic into an elite summer resort, similar to Karlovy Vary in Czech Republic.
