Macedonia is building its first wind power plant, it was announced on the website www.rexpo.hr. The total value of the construction of a 37-megawatt wind power plant is EUR 55 million, 33m of which will be provided by Germany's KfW Bank, while the rest will be contributed by ELEM.

The Macedonian power company ELEM has recently published a news that it has signed an agreement on the construction of the first Macedonian wind power plant with a consortium comprising the Greek construction company Terna and Germany's Siemens.

This agreement includes the procurement and installation of wind turbines as well as the construction of accompanying infrastructure, such as substations and power lines that will connection the new facility with the Macedonian electric grid.
