Futura Plus becomes part of Centro Stampa

Stampa Sistem d.o.o, member of the business system Centroproizvod, has purchased claims from certain bankruptcy creditors of Belgrade-based Futura Plus d.o.o., thus becoming its biggest creditor. By taking over aforementioned claims, Stampa Sistem will also become one of the owners of Futura Plus through implementation of its Reorganization Plan. The merger of companies in the same business primarily creates conditions to establish a stable business system that will preserve over 4,300 jobs.

The newly formed enterprise will become one of the top five domestic private companies in the number of employees.

"The professional team of Centroproizvod's managers has recognized not only the economic potential, but also the social significance of Stampa Sistem and Futura Plus and decided to engage in a big challenge of their merging," the company announced.

Both Stampa Sistem and Futura Plus are non-profitable systems and lossmakers. Futura Plus was in bankruptcy, while Stampa Sistem was close to bankruptcy, facing numerous financial problems.

"Despite all problems in the market, the professional team of experienced managers is working on the restructuring and integration of companies and believes that it will manage to build a stable system through a long-term process and, thus, preserve jobs," reads Centroproizvod's statement.
