RADUJKO: Distribution of Telekom shares until late March

Telekom Srbija CEO Branko Radujko announced Thursday that 4,800,000 citizens would get shares in that company over the next 30 days, but he did not specify the value of individual packages.

Everything about the process of distribution of Telekom shares will be finished within the next two to four weeks, Radujko said, stressing that the shares would be distributed among 4,800,000 citizens as well as employees and former employees of Telekom.

- I don't know what the starting price per share is - Radujko said in a guest appearance on the TV show Beogradska Hronika (the Belgrade Chronicle).

He explained that shares will be worth as much as one is ready to pay for them on the stock exchange.

The CEO of Telekom is sure that the value of these shares will grow in time because it is indicated so by this year's business plan, and he advised citizens to wait before selling them if they did not need money that much.

Speaking about the company's operations, Radujko pointed out that the thefts of copper cables had caused a great damage lately.

- The problem is that the one who cuts three meters of cable does not steal the cable worth few thousands dinars, but damages a network worth a billion or two - he underlined.
