The factory employed around 500 workers, and as they told this portal, the salary was - minimum wage.
In a message that Glas Zajecara has seen, one of the people in a higher position informed the workers that those who were not from Zajecar were obliged to come to Aptiv, and that they would supposedly have a meeting with the company's management, most likely people from Novi Sad.
He also wrote that it would most likely be people from the legal department, and that everything would be explained to them. They will hand in the T-shirts, ID cards and keys to the lockers.
As for the workers from Zajecar, they will receive an invitation to the meeting later, when they arrive.
According to unofficial information from this portal, workers will be offered a voluntary termination of their contracts by the end of the week, and those workers who accept the voluntary termination will also receive a bonus on top of the severance pay that is due.
As the portal reminds, on December 26, 2019, former mayor of Zajecar Bosko Nicic announced the opening of the Aptiv factory.
- The Irish company APTIV is opening a plant in Zajecar in March next year that will employ 2,000 people - this was stated at a press conference by Nicic, after signing a memorandum of understanding.
Since the opening, it has never been the case that 2,000 workers worked there, as announced.
