Reconstruction and extension of Bukovicka Banja to begin – Contractors sought

The Special Hospital for Specialized and General Rehabilitation Bukovicka Banja in Arandjelovac has announced a public procurement procedure for the reconstruction and structural rehabilitation of the “Indoor Bath” facility, with the construction of a new annex and a walkway that will connect the two facilities at basement level.

This project includes works on parts of the basement and ground floor of the existing facility, while the Ministry of Health will finance the construction of the new facility, walkway and windbreak with funds from a World Bank loan within the framework of the project for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. The reconstruction of the existing facility is financed by the hospital itself, but these works are managed as associated facilities, which means that they must be carried out in accordance with the environmental and social standards of the World Bank.

All bidders will be required to comply with the “Environmental and Social Management Plan” (ESMP), which is an integral part of the documentation, as well as to submit evidence of previous experience with projects financed by international institutions, if they have it. The bid will also have to submit a dynamic work plan, a preventive measures plan and a construction waste management plan.

During the work, the hospital will not stop working, so the contractor is obliged to organize all activities so that the paths of patients and construction workers do not cross, to set up barriers and prevent noise and dust in areas used by service users.

The deadline for performing the work is a maximum of 120 days from the date of the contractor’s introduction to the job, and the deadline for application is January 8, 2026.
