State to invest EUR 8 million in FAP – Construction of new facilities and sandblasting plant in Priboj begins, land being prepared for foreign investor

Serbia has allocated EUR 8 million for the development of the Priboj Automobile Factory (Fabrika automobile Priboj - FAP), which has launched a new investment cycle in this industrial system. Intensive work is underway on the construction of a new sandblasting plant, and in parallel, land is being prepared at the location where a foreign investor is expected to come.

The construction of a new sandblasting plant and new production facilities is the basis for expanding production and attracting new partners. It is expected that these projects will further strengthen the role of FAP and the position of Priboj as one of the important industrial centers in western Serbia.

Factory director Dejan Golubovic pointed out that the construction of a new sandblasting plant and new facilities, the purchase of modern equipment and investments in infrastructure showed that the factory was moving forward.

– In cooperation with the state and local government, we are creating conditions for greater capacity and stronger competitiveness – said Golubovic.

He reminded that more than 30 CNC and NC machines had already been purchased, that existing capacities had been renovated, and that gas heating had been introduced in all facilities.

The Mayor of Priboj, Lazar Rvovic, pointed out that other large projects were being implemented in Priboj in parallel, that preparations were underway for the arrival of investors, revitalization of industrial zones, investment in barracks, as well as works on the reversible hydroelectric power plant “Bistrica.”
