It was three years ago that information first appeared that Serbian businessman Dragan Solak wanted to buy PFC Levski from Sofia, but the deal did not materialize.

However, Solak has decided to try again. The news was published by the Bulgarian media, and Levski itself confirmed on its website that the company Sport Republic had sent a letter of intent.

The club released a statement that, among other things, says:

“Levski informs shareholders, fans and partners that, on November 14, 2025, the club received an official letter from the company Sport Republic, which expressed interest in a possible takeover of the club.

On November 19, Levski President Nasko Sirakov (a famous Bulgarian national team player - eKapija’s ed.) sent an official response to the heads of Sport Republic, once again confirming his readiness for negotiations and reminding of several important principles that he had presented on October 23,” Levski’s statement reads.

This is followed by several points on which the club insists, and at the end of the statement it says:

– In the spirit of transparency towards our fans and partners, Levski has published the letter sent by Mr. Dragan Solak in full, as well as the official response from President Nasko Sirakov.
