Workers in Kragujevac-based "Zastava" to get to assemble another model of Italian company "Fiat", famous "Daiko" plans construction of factory in Serbia

Manager of project "Fiat - Zastava", Roman Smirnov, confirmed that company "Fiat" planned broadening of cooperation with "Zastava", which would be offered production of another model.
He did not say which of the "Fiat's" models would be produced in Kragujevac, but he expressed hope that he would soon be able to make the intentions of that Italian company in Serbia official.
Smirnov pointed out that "Fiat" was interested in "Zastava" becaue of its great experience in production of automobiles, as well as Balkanian market, which was one of the strategic areas of that company.
On the other hand, Serbia has recently been visited by the delegation of some other Italian company - "Daiko". In the talks with Serbian Minister of Economy, Predrag Bubalo, the representatives of "Daiko", which is one of the biggest manufacturers of components for automobile industry in the world, expressed their readiness to invest in construction of the car parts factory in Serbia.
However, according to the announcement of the Ministry, both location and amount of investment are unknown.
