Skenify, an AI platform for cyber security aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the European market, is one of the solutions presented in Lisbon that confirms that Montenegro can offer competitive innovations in the extremely attractive and rapidly growing cyber security sector.
- Cyber security is currently in great focus in Montenegro and a lot is being done to raise its level, both in the private and state sectors. We from the private sector are trying to innovate to help companies, but also the state, to raise that level of security to a higher level as soon as possible - said Branko Džakula, CEO of Secfix, which is behind the Skenify platform.
The startup LoRaSi was founded by father and son, Milan and Danilo Marić, and the company is dedicated to developing digital twins through innovative technologies. As the company`s founder and CEO Milan Marić said, their focus is on the development of the Internet of Things (IoT).
- We are developing sensors that collect data from the power grid and show us its condition. That is, in essence, the idea that we are trying to promote here - to prevent energy outages such as occurred in the previous period. This is just preparation for the real appearance we will have next year at Web Summit. We are now in the ascendant period of startup development when we are testing our idea and we want to see how it is reacted to. Next year, we will present the product at this same fair, and I expect this to be just a warm-up for next year - he said.
Danilo Marić stated that participation in the summit is an opportunity to see what other startups are doing in Europe, but also in the world, and to check how innovative their idea is.
- Let`s see how widely it is used in the industry and what exactly investors are interested in, and what is the best way to bring our idea closer to them and ultimately get investments and funds from them. After meetings with investors, we realized that the idea is quite innovative - we focused on energy network monitoring, anomaly detection and performance improvement from that network, but the solution is polyvalent and applicable in other branches of industry. This solution is very scalable and can serve to create a regional or European energy network for energy and information exchange - said Danilo Marić.
Although he is visiting Web Summit for the fifth time, Batrić Krvavac presented his startup Pillbie for the first time at the Montenegrin stand. The company is developing a medication dispenser that organizes doses, monitors usage and provides light and sound reminders for correct and timely administration of therapy.
- Our product is intended for monitoring the correct intake and adherence to medical therapy and we have been developing it for several years. The summit was an opportunity to present our new application, our new prototype to the European market and eventually to meet potential partners and investors. Given that this is the biggest technological event in Europe, if not wider, I think that the presence of companies from Montenegro is crucial for the further development of our innovative community. I think it is imperative that Montenegrin startups meet at every upcoming Web Summit - Krvavac pointed out.
Startup MyTurn develops a solution, i.e. an application that helps parents to delegate household tasks to children in an easier and nicer way.
- We have a solution that enables them to assign tasks in a quick way, and the children, on the other hand, see them as some kind of game that they do in real life. We have the largest number of users from Montenegro, but we want to reach as many users as possible outside the territory of the Western Balkans, so participation in this conference means a lot to us. Also, the support of the Chamber of Commerce is of great importance and the fact that in recent years it recognizes innovative companies and provides them with the opportunity to participate in precisely such events, which mean a lot to us in order to reach users and real partners, and to connect with investors. Web Summit is a platform that allows you to reach all actors in our innovative eco-system - said the representative of the startup MyTurn, Milica Matović.
GoldBear Technologies presented a global SaaS product for the limo/VIP transport industry — LimoExpress — at the summit.
- We develop an enterprise solution for limo agencies that offer VIP transport around the world. We`ve been working on this project for two and a half years, we`ve been on the market for a year and we already have close to 200 clients. These are companies from all over the world, from Australia, through Dubai, Europe and America. Participating in the summit gave us an opportunity to see what new technologies we can implement and where the SaaS industry is going in general. Coming to the Web Summit is of great importance for us in order to create connections with other SaaS founders, to see their experiences, to look for branding partners, and to raise the brand of our product in the world and to learn about new technologies, specifically in the field of artificial intelligence, in order to implement them in our product - said CEO of GoldBear Technologies Nemanja Nikolić.

- In Montenegro, tourism is one of the most important branches of the economy, and I think that startups that deal with hospitality or any other field of tourism are also very important. I think that their representation can contribute to Montenegro as a country that, in my opinion, has quality staff and people who can present very great ideas. Such summits, in addition to presenting ideas, are very important for networking and finding investments for startups in whatever phase they are in - said Čedomir Burić, representative of Bucketor startups.
The attention of visitors to the Montenegrin stand was also attracted by the start-up GoGrant - an AI platform that automates the process of public calls and grants, making them faster, more transparent and more efficient for institutions, donors and foundations.
- This is an idea that arose out of a real need in Montenegrin society itself to digitize public procurements and to shorten the application process for those public procurements. At the Web Summit, we want to spread the idea to all countries in the region. We have partners from the region with whom we have already made contact in order to break into those markets as easily as possible. The support of the Chamber of Commerce is important to us, because without them we would not be ready for this kind of summit at this moment - said Milan Marković, co-founder of the company Web Falcon, which is behind the GoGrant startup.
The appearance of Montenegrin startups at a joint stand at the prestigious international technological event Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon was an opportunity for domestic innovators to exchange experiences and form partnerships with investors and colleagues from more than 150 countries. The importance of this presentation of Montenegrin startups was also pointed out by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, Nina Drakić.
- This event gathers over 70,000 participants from over 150 countries of the world and the participation of Montenegrin startups in it is an exceptional opportunity to improve the visibility of the Montenegrin startup community on the international stage, for domestic startups to find new investors, new partners and to improve the innovative startup community in Montenegro. The Montenegrin innovation community really has the knowledge, potential and creativity to participate in these kinds of events. Through new solutions and innovations, startups contribute to business improvement, simplification of processes, greater efficiency, and this is very important for the diversification of our economy and its further development - said Drakić.
In addition to the performance of seven startups at the joint stand, the Chamber of Commerce also organized the visit of 17 other companies from Montenegro to this world technological event.
The Web Summit has gathered more than 70,000 participants from over 150 countries and is considered one of the world`s leading technology conferences - a place where technology leaders, innovators, investors and decision makers exchange ideas and build partnerships. The Web Summit also provided exceptional networking opportunities with numerous breakout sessions, exhibit areas, panels, investor meetings, and additional post-conference events.
