Joli Natural Casing factory in Bujanovac closed – 50 workers left without jobs and wages

In the wave of layoffs and company closures, one factory has also been closed in Bujanovac.

The company is Joli Natural Casing, which processes meat, and as Bujanovacke reports, in addition to the workers losing their jobs, they are also owed four salaries and five months’ travel expenses.

According to SBRA data, this company has officially been in liquidation since August 5, while the company’s account has been blocked since August 18. The current amount of the blockade is 1,762,026 dinars, Juzne vesti reports.

According to Bujanovacke, the workers are demanding four months’ salaries and five months’ travel expenses from the owner, and they have all filed lawsuits.

They also claim that all machinery and equipment have been removed from the hall.

By the way, this company was opened in 2017 by Slovenian citizen Jozef Liptak.

According to available information, in 2020, the company received 1.7 million dinars in subsidies in a competition run by the Coordination Body of the Government of Serbia for the municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja.
