New business zone planned in Baranda – Construction of complex of business, production, storage and service facilities planned on 15 ha

The Municipality of Opovo has announced the public review of the Draft Amendments to the Detailed Regulation Plan for the purpose of forming a new business zone in Baranda. The plan was developed by the PE Urbanizam Pancevo.

The scope of the plan remains the same as in the basic document and covers an area of 15 hectares, 13 ares and 58 square meters. According to the Spatial Plan of the Municipality of Opovo, the area is intended for a business zone and street corridors, while the Potamisje Special-Purpose Spatial Plan defines areas for production, storage, business and transport infrastructure.

The current business zone has been partially built, and the new plan envisages the construction of a complex of business, production, storage and service facilities, as well as supporting infrastructure.

The aim of the Amendments is to retain the primary purpose of the area, but also to define public areas, more rational use of construction land in public ownership, improve infrastructure and introduce environmental protection measures.

The amendments also include a review of the traffic solution, planning a new road along the right side of the canal, as well as changing the purpose of plot no. 4302 from the public zone to other construction land due to the relocation of the anti-hail station.

Public access to the planning document is available until December 3.
