Two companies to carry out reconstruction of Pupin’s House – Investment worth 61 million dinars

The public procurement of works announced by the Zrenjanin City Administration has been completed.

The companies Asing from Belgrade and Crna Trava gradnja from Crna Trava, as the only bidders, were awarded the job of reconstructing, renovating and repurposing the building at 9 Kej 2. oktobra Street in Zrenjanin, known as Pupin’s House.

Repurposing into Youth Center

Pupin's House should be converted into a public facility - the Central Banat Youth Center “Mihajlo Pupin,” i.e. into a modern space intended for young people - for the implementation of free youth content, coordination of youth associations and support for the work of youth organizations.

The total value of the works is 61,317,012 dinars including VAT.

The public call for bids, which the Zrenjanin City Administration announced three months ago, has since undergone five changes, but in the end a contractor has been selected.

The members of the commission for this public procurement were Srdjan Negovanovic, Eudjenija Besu and Zorica Novakov.

Ministry of Tourism also helping

As a reminder, in October last year, Mayor Simo Salapura signed an agreement on cooperation between the City of Zrenjanin and the Youth Union of the OPENS association.

This agreement regulates the guidelines and frameworks for joint action in the process of establishing, developing and further operating the Youth Center in Zrenjanin.

Following this agreement, in December last year, a contract on the implementation of the project, i.e. on the allocation of financial resources, was signed at the Ministry of Tourism and Youth.

By the terms of the contract, the ministry committed to financing the project up to the amount of the total approved funds in the amount of 54 million dinars, with a deadline for the implementation of the project of 12 months.
