Stara Pazova to get another factory – Muehlbauer’s facilities to develop and assemble batteries and fuel cells for electric vehicles

The Muehlbauer factory will open today in Stara Pazova. The company’s facilities in Stara Pazova will develop and assemble batteries and fuel cells for electric vehicles, and as announced at the groundbreaking ceremony for the factory last year, 150 workers will be employed, with an average salary of EUR 900.


The construction of the factory began in early 2024, and the value of the investment project amounted to EUR 29.5 million.

Muehlbauer was founded in 1981 as a company specializing in the production of precision parts for the aviation industry, and today it is a world-renowned manufacturer of innovative end-to-end ID solutions that focus on the production, personalization and issuance of secure ID cards and e-passports according to ICAO standards, and has established itself as a competent partner dedicated to the implementation of security systems.

The company employs 3,870 professionals worldwide, and in 2022 it generated sales revenue of EUR 324.5 million.

Muehlbauer Group has been present in Serbia since 2008, and the Technology Park in Stara Pazova is the first center of its kind in Europe, outside of Germany.
