Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in September 2.9%

Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in September this year was 2.9%, and month-on-month 1.6%, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.


Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption, by which inflation is measured, in September 2025 in relation to December 2024 increased by 1.9% on average.

Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption, in September 2025 in relation to the previous month, decrease of prices was noted in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-4.5%), Recreation and culture (-3.2%), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.1%) and Clothing and footwear (-0.2%).

Increase of prices was noted in the groups Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Transport and Restaurants and hotels (each by 0.5%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.4%) and Health (0.2%).
