Minister: Construction of Belgrade-Nis railroad to begin next year

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia Aleksandra Sofronijevic has announced a continuation of the construction of the rail corridor 10, the Belgrade-Nis railroad, which will be 230 kilometers long.

She said on TV Pink that the whole project amounted to EUR 2.77 billion thus far.

Sofronijevic said that the construction would start in 2026 and that it would be split into three sections, from Belgrade, Velika Plana, Paracin and Nis, and that the construction to Nis itself was planned to last 3 to 4 years, Beta reported.
