Galenika supports women in fighting breast cancer for the sixth year in a row – Lift the Weight Off Your Chest, Get a Breast Examination

Pharmaceutical company Galenika and its brand Pantenol are implementing the socially responsible project “Pantenol Pink October” for the sixth year in a row aimed at raising women’s awareness of the importance of prevention in the fight against breast cancer, as well as a donation to a health institution in Serbia.

In this way, Galenika actively supports efforts in the fight against breast cancer, because this is a topic that requires informing and unity.

During October, Galenika will set aside 30 dinars from each sold product from Galenika’s Pantenol portfolio to donate and help the General Hospital in Vrbas and the Women’s Center “Milica”.

This year’s slogan carries a multi-layered message “Lift the Weight Off Your Chest, Get a Breast Examination”, with a message to women to free themselves from fear of examination or diagnosis and take a concrete step in prevention.

As stated on the website of the Institute of Public Health “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”, when detected timely, breast cancer is curable in over 90% of cases, treatment is shorter and more efficient, and the quality of life of affected and treated women is better.

He emphasized that the slogan “Lift the Weight Off Your Chest, Get a Breast Examination” empowered women to get rid of their fear and take a concrete step towards their health.

– Every customer who buys one of the products from Galenika’s Pantenol portfolio contributes to the donation and improvement of treatment conditions for women facing breast cancer – pointed out Ricardo Vian Marques.

Over the past five years, through the “Pantenol Pink October” activity, Galenika has donated more than 52 thousand euros for the needs of oncology institutions throughout Serbia.
