Subotica-based Al Pack signed Wednesday an agreement with the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), under which this company will receive EUR 250,000 for creating 50 new jobs.

New workers will be hired by the year's end. They will work at a new production facility and warehouse, in the construction and equipping of which a total of EUR 2.5 million will be invested.

The agreement between Al Pack and SIEPA was signed in the presence of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Verica Kalanovic and United Regions of Serbia leader MLadjan Dinkic.

Dinkic noted that Al Pack's exports to Hungary, Russia and Germany had proved it to be one of the leaders in the region and a company that deserved the government's assistance.

- We should stress that the company Al Pack is granted EUR 5,000 for each new job, whereas, for example, Germany's Kontinental received EUR 1,000 less per job, which is another proof that foreign investors are not favored in our country - said Dinkic.

The company Al Pack produces packaging for dairy, meat, confectionery, pharmaceutical and tobacco industries. It was founded in 1994 in Subotica, and it has been continuously increasing the level of production and making profit to date.
