Serbia becomes the hub of green energy in the Balkans – SSWISS GROUP AG invests EUR 50 million

Swiss company SSWISS GROUP AG, owner of the solar panel brand Swiss Solar, has announced plans to invest EUR 50 million in the development of renewable energy in Serbia. The funds will be directed towards building solar power plants with a total capacity of up to 50 MW, in cooperation with local partners and government institutions.

Serbia, with more than 2,000 hours of sunshine annually, is seeking to diversify its energy mix. SSWISS GROUP AG’s investment will create new jobs, reduce the carbon footprint, and strengthen the country’s energy independence, reinforcing Serbia’s role as a key player in the Balkans.
