Sombor-based Black Horse factory, sole local car battery manufacturer, restarting production and planning new jobs

Sombor-based Black Horse, the sole local car battery manufacturer, announced that it would hire 60 more workers by the end of the year and start trial production in mid-January.

As announced by CEO Aleksandar Colic, new technology, aligned with European standards, will arrive at the Sombor factory in September, while the start of production of starter batteries is planned for next year.

The company currently employs around 20 people, and from September the team should be expanded by an additional 60 people. With the launch of the starter battery production program, the plan is to hire around 100 more workers next year.

The company’s vision is to have between 300 and 350 employees in Sombor by 2030.

Since recently, the Black Horse FAS company is owned by RAIMS Capital.
