Mayor Dragoslav Pavlovic says that the project includes a water and sewage network, roads and public lighting, and 10 million euros have been allocated for its implementation. The money is being provided from the city and state budgets.
The mayor of Nis, Dragoslav Pavlovic, accompanied by his associate and acting director of the public utility company Naisus Nis, Tamara Milic, visited the Sever-1 and Sever-2 business zones.
The reason for the visit is the construction of a precipitation, sewage and water supply networks for new investors, primarily for the Ariston factory, which produces electrical household appliances. Ariston is the first economic giant that opens up the prospect of the arrival and development of other large investors in Nis.
– Perhaps the most extensive works being carried out in the territory of Nis today are these works on the Sever-1 and Sever-2 business zones. Namely, in order to determine the water supply and sewage system and public lighting, as well as the roads for these business zones, we are currently in the phase of building lots of kilometers and infrastructure. As you can see, there is one wide excavation, because it could not be done otherwise in the previous period, it is an excavation for the installation of both precipitation sewage and fecal sewage, and also the water supply network, and all of this will be connected to the existing network located somewhere in the airport area. Only in this way, and later by building roads on this stretch, can we prepare the land for new investors, who plan to come to the territory of Nis in the coming period – said Pavlovic.
The mayor stated that the position of Nis as a regional center was extremely good. By building a utility structure, water supply and sewage networks with roads and great support from the state, it opens the door to new investors.
– We will allocate as much as 10 million euros for our Sever-1 and Sever-2 business zones. Of that, 5 million will be financed by the city of Nis, and 5 million will be received from the Republic of Serbia, from the Government of the Republic of Serbia. And in this way, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the state are helping us to create better conditions for our investors. In the previous period, it has been shown that only through joint efforts, cooperation and collaboration between the city of Nis and our republic authorities do we achieve good results – said Pavlovic.
The head of Nis reminded that this was how Palfinger came to this city, that this was how the Ariston factory was being built and that the CTP factory was building new plants, and stressed that he was “confident in the arrival of new investors in the coming period.”
The Mayor of Nis highlighted and publicly praised the exceptional effort and dedication of the workers of the public utility company Naisus in achieving the set plans.
The public utility company Naisus is obliged to build 1,714 meters of water supply network, 3,158 meters of sewage network and complete the work by the end of October.
