Starting May 25, 2006, fuel at gas stations in Serbia cheaper by 1.5 CSD per liter

- At the gas stations in Serbia, starting from May 25, 2006, the fuel will be cheaper by 1.5 CSD per liters or 1.8%. This will result in reduction of inflation by 0.16% - said the assistant to the Ministry of Trade and Tourism Srđan Srećković.

He explained that the price fall was provoked by the decrease in exchange rate of US dollar, due to which the price of crude oil on the world market went down by 3%.

Srećković confirmed that the decision of the Ministry on that issue would be published in the Official BUlletin of Serbia on May 23, 2006, whereas the solution would be put in effect in the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
