Azerbaijan's Az-Virt to build highway near Gornji Milanovac

The municipality of Gornji Milanovac will provide all required expert and technical assistance to create legal and technical preconditions in order for the construction works on the Belgrade-Cacak highway to kick off on time, said Gornji Milanovac Mayor Milisav Markovic.

During his talks with representatives of the Azerbaijani company Az-Virt, which is hired to carry out works on three sections of the future highway through Gornji Milanovac, Mirkovic said that the support to that contractor would also be provided during the execution of works because of obvious interest of citizens of that municipality in that large investment.

- Construction of the highway is a great opportunity for hiring both new workers and construction companies that could become subcontractors - Mirkovic stressed.

Serdar Uluocak, representative of the Azerbaijani company, expressed his satisfaction with the local self-government's offer to provide support and assistance, adding that the works were expected to kick off in March 2012, as soon as the weather allowed.

According to his words, the works should be finished in three years from the moment the construction starts.

The company from Azerbaijan will carry out works on three sections through the municipality of Gornji Milanovac: Donji Banjani - Boljkovci, Boljkovci - Takovo and Takovo - Preljina.
