Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia Dragan Glamocic and his colleague Minister of Agriculture of Slovenia Mateja Calusic talked about the possibilities of a further boosting of the bilateral relations, especially in trading agricultural and food products, introducing innovations in the agrarian sector and facing the consequences of climate change.

During a meeting in Gornja Radgona, they agreed that the two countries had a long tradition of successful cooperation in agriculture, additionally strengthened through Serbia’s participation as the country-partner in this year’s International Fair of Agriculture and Food “Agra” in said place, the Serbian ministry announced.

Glamocic emphasized that joint projects and the exchange of experiences would contribute to increased competition and improved positioning of agriculturists in the market, and he especially highlighted Slovenia’s support to Serbia’s European integration process.

Calusic assessed that the two states faced similar challenges in agriculture, thereby calling for joint action in order to be more resilient.
