Republic of Serbia, Vojvodina and Subotica to finance rehabilitation of Subotica-based theater - €20m

Minister of Culture of Serbia, Dragan Kojadinović, Prime Minister of Vojvodina, Bojan Pajtić, and mayor of Subotica, Geza Kučera, signed the annex of the protocol on reconstruction of National Theater in Subotica. It was agreed that the Republic will take on financing, whereas the project will be co-financed by the Province and Municipality of Subotica.

The works on reconstruction should commence before June 15, 2005, i.e. one month after the completion of project documentation. The value of the first phase of reconstruction is 140 million CSD, and it implies tearing down and construction of Big Stage, as well as concert hall. Entire Project for rehabilitation of Subotica-based theater will cost about €20m.
