The Golubac Fortress will get another attraction - a knights’ village. It will be located on the fortress square, located between the two gates. The area covers about 300 m2, is currently partially paved, while the rest is grassed.

The purpose of building the knights’ village is to present the life of medieval knights who operated in such fortifications, with a partial influence of fairy tales in that presentation, which would enrich the tourist offer of the Golubac Fortress, especially in terms of educating children.

This is stated in the tender documentation, which was announced by the company Tvrdjava Golubac d.o.o. The subject of the procurement is the environmental design and furnishing of the interior of the fortress. This includes the construction and furnishing of a knights’ village.

It would consist of several small prefabricated buildings that would represent a falconry, an armory and similar medieval buildings, a kiosk that would represent the princess’s corner, a fencing ring, an archery range, and an entrance gate with a fence. All buildings would be built in a medieval style, using appropriate materials such as logs and roof coverings made of shingles and reeds.

The presentation should be enriched by equipping it with elements such as dolls representing historical and local legend figures, as well as adequate furniture for the presentation of medieval life, it is added.

The value of the procurement is 22,500,000 dinars, and the deadline for submitting bids is September 5. More details can be found HERE.

Opis:
Golubački grad ili tvrđava Golubac je srednjovekovna tvrđava, koja se nalazi na samom ulazu u Đerdapsku klisuru. Čini ga 10 kula i 2 velike kolske kapije.
