Winners of tender for construction of Aqua Park in Rudna Glava known – Contract worth 608.5 million dinars for five companies

The tender announced by the Majdanpek municipality for the design and construction of the Aqua Park Rudna Glava sports complex was won by the following companies: Revolution Architects doo Belgrade, Alex E&C d.o.o. Belgrade, TVI d.o.o. Belgrade, Largotel doo Barajevo, Alveco construction doo Belgrade, which were awarded a contract worth 608.5 million dinars.

The Revolution Architects company prepared the architectural and urban design for this sports complex.

The project includes land with a total area of about 0.40 ha, in the immediate vicinity of existing sports facilities - the FC Rudna Glava football field, volleyball, indoor football and basketball courts.

The conceptual design envisages the construction of facilities within the complex, including administrative and auxiliary rooms, changing rooms, showers and toilets for visitors, catering facilities, a ticket office, an information desk and a guardhouse, as well as a structure for slides and technical rooms in the underground level, a pool with slides and a swimming pool.

For the exterior design, the emphasis will be placed on preserving green areas, and the entire complex will be adapted to the efficient functioning and future development of the environment.

The awarded companies have a two-year deadline to complete the complete project, including design and construction.

The only change compared to the original plan is the conceptual design to reduce the number of pools from three to two - a pool with slides and a recreational pool - which also resulted in a reduction in the capacity of the complex from 500 to 320 visitors.

Accordingly, the number of supporting facilities, such as showers, changing cabins and similar facilities, will also be optimized.

Another new feature is the correction of the dimensions of the restaurant, which will only have an open garden, without an indoor seating area.

The estimated value was not stated, and as announced by the mayor of the municipality, Dragan Popovic, back in 2023, the value of the investment is estimated at 460 million dinars, including VAT.
