Value of construction works in Serbia lower in second quarter

According to the data collected in the second quarter of 2025, the value of construction works done in the territory of the Republic of Serbia decreased by 12.7% at current prices, relative to the second quarter of 2024, while the decrease at constant prices amounted to 16.1%, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Observed by types of construction, the value of construction works in this quarter decreased on civil engineering by 26.2% and increased by 5.8% on buildings, at constant prices.

In the second quarter of 2025, the value of construction works done at constant prices increased in the Belgrade Region, by 19.2%, while it decreased in the Sumadija and Western Serbia Region, by 8.8%, in the Southern and Eastern Serbia Region by 31.8%, and in the Vojvodina Region by 44.9% relative to the same quarter of 2024.

Out of the total value of works done, 98% were performed in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, while the remaining 2% were performed on building sites abroad.

The value of works done by the contractors from the Republic of Serbia in the second quarter of 2025, regarding works performed on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and abroad, decreased by 12.9% relative to the same quarter of 2024, at current prices, while at constant prices, it decreased by 16.2%.
