The Serbian Government has established two working groups to conduct negotiations with the Chinese company CRBC on the construction of the Pozega-Mackat and Pozega-Duga Poljana sections.

As stated, the Government has decided to establish a Working Group for conducting negotiations and contracting for the implementation of the Belgrade-Sarajevo Highway Construction Project, Pozega-Mackat section, whose task is to cooperate with the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) for the implementation of the aforementioned project and conduct negotiations, during which the value of services and works on the construction of the section in question will be defined, as well as the basic elements for the purpose of signing a commercial contract, the decision states.

Miroslav Alempic, Acting Assistant Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, has been appointed as the head of the Working Group, and the group has 16 other members.

At the same time, a decision was made to establish a Working Group for conducting negotiations and contracting for the implementation of the “Belgrade - South Adriatic” Project E-763, section Pozega - Duga Poljana, with the same task - cooperation with the CRBC company for the implementation of this project and conducting negotiations during which the value of services and works on the construction of the section in question will be defined, as well as the basic elements for the purpose of signing the contract.

Miroslav Alempic was also appointed head of this working group, and the group has 19 other members.

Let us remind that the construction of the Pozega-Mackat section, as part of the second ring of the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway, from Pozega to Kotroman, was announced in April by the acting director of PE Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, during a tour of the works on the Pakovrace-Pozega highway section.

He emphasized at the time that the plan was to build sections from Pozega to Zlakusa, 14.5 km long, and another 14.5 km to Mackat, the website of the PE Roads of Serbia reported.

Incidentally, the section from Pozega to Kotroman will be about 60 kilometers long, and it is a very demanding section with 66 tunnels and 27 bridges.

When it comes to the construction of the Pozega-Duga Poljana road, it is a section of the future highway to Montenegro, or the Belgrade-South Adriatic project.
