Considerable growth of exports of economy of city of Kragujevac: EUR 1.237 billion in first 6 months, 23.8% more than last year

The total external trade of the economy of the Sumadija and Pomoravlje district in the first six months of 2025 amounted to around EUR 2.122 billion.

The exports were realized in the amount of around EUR 1.237 billion.

The economy of the Sumadija and Pomoravlje district from January to June this year realized a growth of exports of 23.8% compared to the same period last year, with an external surplus of around EUR 352 million.

In the first six months of 2025, the economy of the City of Kragujevac realized exports in the amount of EUR 664 million, with a realized export growth of 71.3% compared to the same period last year. As emphasized by Predrag Lucic, the director of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Sumadija and Pomoravlje District, the considerable growth of exports and external trade surplus of the economy of Kragujevac is a result of the intensification of the production at the Stellantis factory in Kragujevac.

The main export products of the economy of the Sumadija and Pomoravlje district in this period are road vehicles, tools and parts, electric machines, rail vehicles, furniture, plastic mass products.

In the first six months of 2025, the economy of the Sumadija and Pomoravlje district mostly exported to the markets of Germany, Itay, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, while the biggest imports were realized from China, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Austria.
