MRKONJIC: New Jat until March 2012

Formation of a new Serbian air transportation company on the foundations of Jat Airwaus will be finished within the next 30 days "with a help of people from the economy sector," Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Milutin Mrkonjic announced today.

That process should, in any case, be finished until the end of the current government's mandate, Mrkonjic told the press in the Serbian government.

Minister stressed that the Serbian government was working on resolving the issue of Jat, adding that certain number of employees and airplanes of that public company would be transferred to the new airline, whereas debts would be kept by the old company.

- The Serbian flag carrier will continue to exist - Mrkonjic pointed out.
