Slovakia's Bemaco to build factory in Valjevo

Slovakia's Bemaco is going to open a factory of industrial safety equipment, worth EUR 1.3 million, in Popucke, near Valjevo, in early April.

As it was said Tuesday at a press conference in the City Administration, that factory will employ 105 workers. Bemaco's owner Ladislav Kovalski said that that company had 240 employees and worked for many famous companies, adding that he expected investements in the Valjevo area to help the company conquer the market of Serbia, the Valjevo Patak radio station reports.

Kovalski said that Bemaco would apply for incentives granted by the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).

Valjevo is among the cities and municipalities where incentives for a newly created job range between 2,000 and 5,000 euros, and Slovaks say that their investment does not depend on SIEPA's decision.

Zeljko Bozic, director of the future factory, told the press that Bemaco had chosen Valjevo because there were people in that city who had an experience in the production of industrial safety equipment, adding that he hoped that the Slovakian company would make some additional investments in Serbia until the end of 2012.
