Zijin announces plan for new investments in Serbia to Macut

Zijin is planning new investments in Serbia, for which it will use the most advanced technologies, representatives of the Chinese company announced in a conversation with Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut.

They emphasized that Zijin’s development concept was an investment in a “green” industry.

Macut discussed with Zijin representatives the company’s previous investments in Serbia, plans for improving its business, as well as the further development of the mining sector, in accordance with the highest environmental standards.

He emphasized that the Serbian Government remained committed to improving the investment environment and preserving stability, with special attention to environmental protection and respect for workers’ rights.

Macut called on Zijin representatives to strengthen environmental protection capacities, not only in the vicinity of the Bor mine, but also throughout eastern Serbia.
