Minth to invest EUR 870 million in electric vehicle parts factory in Indjija – Plans to hire 2,200 workers

Global Tier-1 automotive supplier Minth Holding will build a factory for the production of electric vehicles in Indjija, the planned investment is EUR 870 million, and the plan is to hire 2,200 workers.

The Indjija Municipal Assembly has adopted a decision on the development of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Advanced Mobility Center Serbia, i.e. a prerequisite for Minth to be able to build in Indjija.

– I will ask you to multiply the entire economy and all employees in Indjija by two and you will get Minth. This is the number one state project in Serbia when it comes to investments – said the mayor of Indjija, Marko Gasic.

– We have had several meetings with representatives of the Serbian Government and Minth. We are now about to start developing the Detailed Regulation Plan, and in the next few days we should sign a contract with Minth representatives – said the mayor of the municipality.

He added that it is 210 hectares of land and reminded that Toyo Tires had been the largest investment in Serbia three years before at 60 hectares.

– Every car in the world that is made, at least one part is made in Minth. Minth works for all car manufacturers, and when the factory is finished, in a few years every car will have a part manufactured in Indjija – said Gasic.

A few months ago, the Government of Serbia adopted a Conclusion on the adoption of the text of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Serbia and the company “Minth Holdings Limited,” with the aim of establishing a new production facility in Serbia.
