The hepatitis A virus has been detected in frozen mixed berries from Serbia which was intended for the German market.

The risk to consumers is characterized as “serious,” as announced on the website of the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

Germany has withdrawn these products from the market, as can be seen on the RASFF website.

Let us remind that, recently, Italy also issued a warning due to food from Serbia, due to the detection of the listeria bacteria in smoked salmon.
