Serbia's first ski gondola on Stara Planina mountain

The first ski gondola in Serbia has been put in operation on Stara Planina mountain, the public company Skijalista Srbije announced.

The gondola's starting point is near the new hotel on Jabucko Ravniste, and the total length of its route is 1,100 meters.

Its current capacity is 1,200 skiers per hour, but it can be increased to 2,400 skiers per hour. The gondola moves at the speed of six meters per second, and each cabin is designed for eight persons.

At the moment, there are three ski runs available to all lovers of winter sports.

Snow cover on Stara Planina is up to 110 centimeters thick in some places.
