BG Titan Group from USA acquires Adria Telekom – Serbian technology to start conquering globe

The American investment and tech corporation BG Titan Group, headquartered in San Diego (USA), has signed a strategic agreement on the acquisition of the company Adria Telekom, one of the pioneers and most successful Serbian brands in the field of OPTV, OTT and multimedia solutions. The agreement was signed at the offices of the BG Titan Group branch in Sofia, which operates as the European center of this global group, the press release says.

The agreement was made official by the directors - Aymen Boughanmi (BG Titan) and Daniel Rokvic (Adria Telekom), it is said.

This takeover, they say, marks a new phase in the development of Adria Telekom, which, from the position of a regional leader in the field of digital television and software solutions, is entering the global scene, supported by the infrastructure and resources of the American partner.

BG Titan Group is a multinational company present on three continents, active in the fields of infrastructure, energy, digital transformation, cyber security, financial services and development of big projects, especially in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

On the other hand, Daniel Rokvic is known as one of the pioneers of the Serbian cable and IPTV industry, as well as international OTT platforms, says the press release.

The first international project in the new stage of the development of Adria Telekom has already been launched in Uganda, where over 4 million users are expected in the first phase. The aim is for the joint systems to reach over 10 million users worldwide in the next two years.

– This partnership is a combination of technology, experience and vision. The Serbian engineering know-how is now getting a global impetus through Adria Telekom – stated Aymen Boughanmi.

Daniel Rokvic added: “For years, I have been building projects which have shaped the digital television market. It is time for Serbian solutions to become part of the global image - with BG Titan Group, that is not only possible, but certain. Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to survive and develop in full capacity as an independent company from Serbia. That is a consequence of the systemic obstacles which exist for all independent networks and media in Serbia. The decision to enter a partnership with a global player like BG Titan Group is a result of the need to protect our technology, idea and users, but to also secure a healthy environment for a further growth - outside the political and economic pressure that we have been enduring for years,” it is said.

This transaction confirms that Serbian technology has potential for a global reach and strengthens the position of Adria Telekom as a future leader in multimedia software and digital platforms worldwide.
