Air traffic might soon be established between Serbia and Saudi Arabia, announced the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia. The Air Transport Agreement was signed by Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic and Executive Vice President for Air Transport and International Cooperation at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Ali bin Mohammed Rajab.

The signed agreement, as specified, paves the way for the establishment of a direct air route between the capitals of the two countries, which also creates the foundation for a more intensive cooperation and further development of economic relations between Serbia and Saudi Arabia.

– This step will further strengthen Belgrade’s position as a key regional transport hub, while also contributing to the further enhancement of bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, energy and mining – Sofronijevic said.

She assessed that, despite the numerous local and global challenges, Serbia had managed to preserve macroeconomic stability.
