Former Porr CEO Johannes Dotter new chief executive of Alpine Holding

The construction group Alpine, headquartered in Salzburg, has expanded its managerial staff and appointed former Porr CEO Johannes Dotter as the chief executive of Alpine Holding.

Dotter is from now on the chief executive of Alpine and superior to Werner Watznauer, who had been running the group until recently and is still part of its management team.

By appointing Dotter as CEO, owners of Alpine - Spain's FCC Group and Dietmar Aluta-Oltyan from Salzburg, clearly show that they think of Alpine as an Austrian company, reads a release that Alpine issued today.

Dotter has been active in the Austrian construction industry for 25 years now, and he had also been a member of the Managing Board of Porr AG until last year.

Alpine is currently active in 30 countries and annually undertakes works worth about EUR 3.5 billion, half of which in Austria.

Spain's FCC Group currently holds 86.5-percent stake in Alpine, whereas the remaining stake is held by Aluta-Oltyan, which used to be CEO of Alpine.
