Agroprom invests EUR 3 million in silos in Stara Pazova

Agroprom agricultural cooperative from Stara Pazova has invested about EUR 3 million in the construction of contemporary storage facilities for cereals. These silos, with the capacity of 18,000 tonnes, are expected to receive the first batch of corn in early April.

Agroprom cultivates 3,000 hectares of its own land and another 3,000 ha in cooperation. It produces sugar beet, wheat, corn, sunflower and soybean. In order to improve its operations, they started building contemporary silos last year.

According to the words of Goran Mitrovic, director of the cooperative, they decided to make that investment because they wanted to keep goods in their own storage facilities instead of paying high storage fee to local companies.

Commenting on the investment amounting to EUR 3 million, Mitrovic told RTV that the invested money can be expected to return after a long period of exploitation of the new storage space.
