Changes at the top of United Group - Dragan Solak no longer the chairman of the Advisory Board

United Group, which is majority owned by the international investment company BC Partners, has announced changes at the top of the company. The founder of the company, Dragan Solak, will no longer be the chairman of the Advisory Board, and Victoriya Boklag will no longer be the Group CEO, the Yahoo Finance portal reported.

The new CEO of the group will be Stan Miller, and his deputy Libor Voncina.

The appointment of Stan and Libor, as the portal writes, reflects United Group's strategic turn towards EU markets, after the sale of telecommunications operations outside the EU was completed earlier this year, through the sale of SBB to E& PPF and the sale of Net TV Plus and the rights to sports broadcasts in the Western Balkans to Telekom Serbia. The total value of the assets sold is EUR 1.5 billion.

After the strategic sale of assets outside the EU, the company is today focused on key EU markets, offering leading converged mobile and fixed telecom services with great potential for growth and consolidation - said Nikos Stathopoulos, President for Europe at BC Partners.

Televisions N1 and Nova S, newspapers and portals Nova and Danas, as well as weekly Radar, all operate as part of United Group in Serbia.
