On June 15, Air Serbia established a direct route between Belgrade and Tbilisi for the first time. The Serbian national airline flies to the capital of Georgia three times a week throughout the year, from Belgrade on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, while flights from Tbilisi are carried out on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the company announced.

- The introduction of flights to Tbilisi was preceded by a detailed market analysis which showed that the number of passengers between Serbia and Georgia is constantly increasing. On the other hand, passengers flying from Europe and North America to Georgia now have the opportunity to reach the Caucasus faster and easier via Belgrade. The opening of a direct flight on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Georgia, will further strengthen the ties between the two countries - Jirzi Marek, General Director of Air Serbia, said.

- By opening new traffic connections, Serbia not only becomes the traffic hub of the region, but also clearly positions itself as a stable, responsible and reliable partner in international relations - the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Aleksandra Sofronijevic, stated.
