Electric Power Company of Montenegro announces tender for procurement of 25,000 energy-saving bulbs

The Board of Directors of Electric Power Company of Montenegro has accepted the project for introduction of so-called energy-saving bulbs into households, which will significantly reduce the electricity consumption.
The energy-saving bulbs are fluorescent bulbs that do not pass away electric energy and they are much more efficient than the standard ones, because they use 80% less energy for the same intensity of light. They also lasts 15 times longer than the common bulbs.
According to the project, 25,000 energy-saving bulbs of 20 and 25 W will be procured and they will be distributed to the consumers who pay their electricity bills regularly, as well as to some institutions, such as health and educational centers.
