In addition to this reserve, more than 203 million dinars was allocated for plans, communication strategies and studies of a detailed financial plan from 2020 to 2022.
This park should be built on more than 480 hectares in Kovilovo, in the Belgrade municipality of Palilula. The land on which the park will be built is owned by the former Agricultural Corporation of Belgrade, better known as PKB.
The industrial park will be built in the immediate vicinity of the left bank of the Danube, immediately after the descent from the Mihajlo Pupin Bridge, and as stated in the Spatial Plan of the Special Purpose Area from 2021, the complex also includes a former pig farm that is no longer in operation.
The industrial park complex should be divided into three zones:
– International Commercial Center - planned to be a multifunctional complex that will include a commodity exchange, logistics and storage centers, restaurants and a shopping center, retail stores and more.
– Industrial Park - occupies the largest area of the complex, and within it, the plan is to build industrial plants, warehouses, office buildings, residential spaces, supporting facilities, as well as management buildings.
– High-Tech Park - within it, the plan is to build office buildings intended for the development of high technologies, business and administrative spaces, as well as supporting facilities - restaurants and retail stores.
Initial announcements were that the park would cover 320 hectares, while later the Spatial Plan for the area stated a figure of 483.5 hectares. Four years ago, it was announced that the value of the project would be around EUR 300 million.
