Belgium issues warning: Formetanate in frozen strawberries from Serbia

Belgium has issued a warning saying that it has found formetanate in frozen strawberries from Serbia, as announced on the website of the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

As said, consumption of this fruit would carry a serious risk to people’s health.

Let us remind that this is not the first time this year that Belgium has encountered a problem with fruit from Serbia.

In January, they found cadmium in frozen raspberries from Serbia, as announced earlier on the RASFF website.
