The first of the 25 new Turkish trams of the Bozankaya brand has arrived to the facility of the PUE GSP Beograd in New Belgrade, announced the Secretariat for Public Transport on its official Instagram profile.

According to the published data, the new tram will have a total length of 30.5 meters, a capacity of 170 standing and 48 sitting passengers, and six entrance and exit doors.


It will be able to develop a maximum speed of 70 km/h.

According to the Secretariat, these vehicles are only the beginning of the renewal of the rolling stock of the tram subsystem of the public transport system in Belgrade.

After the exploitation testing on the network is completed, as they say, the public will be notified about all the other details, as well as the date when the new trams are to be put into operation.

The mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic, recently stated that the agreement envisaged the arrival of the second tram by June 20.
